Michael,
I know you still don't like the oil services, but BHI looks awfully tempting right now. What do you think? Thanks.

I remember you. You were that QQQ cowboy who said about 2 months ago that the Naz 100 had seen its best level at 128 and there were no more high flying stocks left to add to the index to keep it rising. Ho ho ho, you must be lovin QQQ at 163.

No more stocks left to add to the index over the short term? Today's list is lengthy, biz.yahoo.com

Does this make it a little clearer for you? <g>

Mike,

From time to time companies and closed end funds announce their intention to liquidate. Often the asset values exceed the market value by a significant amount. I've seen Warren Buffett take a number of positions like this over the last few years and profit handsomely. This seems like a great strategy for a small operator like myself in an environment that isn't offering too much that I'm comfortable with otherwise. The problem is that I haven't found any source of information that will give me timely information on these announcements. Can you shed any light on where I might want to look? I always find out after the value is long gone and the process is already underway.

Wayne

Hey Mike,

I know you're always looking for good bargains. It appears that American Express is making a strong entry into the brokerage field - they are offering commission free trading if your account is large enough. That combined with free online bill payment, and a free gold card.
