Is the thought that "market event" swings are part of the natural ebb and flow of a stock price, where as "economical events" will have more long term affect?

Imo, it's just the Houses playing with the 'scaredy cats', while gathering stock for the next upswing. (Look at what happened with QCOM -- it went from over $400 to approximately $328, and closed today @ $417+, an 'all time high'.)
