Valleygirl: I agree with your accessment of news being critical. I do use technical data, but if a news headline pops up on my screen, the technical data gets thrown into the back seat. As, for daytrading, only about 5 people out of 1500 I tune into every day even bother to play MSFT, most only play stocks like YHOO etc. The first thing I do when I buy a stock to daytrade is call up my sell screen, because I will sell taking 1/4 pt loss if the trade goes against me. The daytrading room I use is FREE on a mIRC channel, I lurked it for a while, laughing at them at first, after all they were buying dogs, on NEWS, with no earnings, cancer cure stocks, and lately Linux stocks. After a while I quit laughing and became serious since they were making more money, and in a short period of time, than I ever dreamed was possible.
Have a nice day
