I have to admit I got a laugh out of some of the schemes. For instance:

Merrill Lynch

Buy
Accumulate
Neutral
Reduce
Sell
No Rating

Has anyone ever seen a "reduce" rating from ML? What the difference between "reduce" and "sell"? Maybe "get out slow" (because our institutional investors need time to unload) or "get out fast" (because our institutional investors want to buy your shares cheap)?
