Children of God:Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Romans 12:19

8:1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
8:6 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.
8:7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
8:10 And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.
8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Sea Otter, in case you didn't notice, the name of this thread is "Jesus", not "Ishmael". You are very presumptuous to call a person that you don't ignorant. Is this what the quran teaches you?

Sea Otter, you've got more nerve than brains, coming to a Christian thread and telling us what you presume we know and don't know.

Sea Otter, if you deny the Bible, you deny your own heritage. As it is written:

21:13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he [is] thy seed.
21:14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave [it] unto Hagar, putting [it] on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.
21:15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.
21:16 And she went, and sat her down over against [him] a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against [him], and lift up her voice, and wept.
21:17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he [is].
21:18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

Sea Otter, The truth about our sin is a difficult thing to keep balanced in our minds. On the one hand, we know we should not sin; it is wrong. We should never take sinning lightly. On the other hand, we all sin; it is
unavoidable. John writes, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves" (v. 8).

Therefore, God had to make provision for us to be in fellowship with Him. If we confess our sins, He will forgive us. When we sin, we can accept God's forgiveness and restoration to fellowship. We need not berate ourselves endlessly or do a form of penance. Only the blood of Christ can pay for our sins. And only confession can bring restoration to fellowship with God.

The Lord forgives and restores us to fellowship, and in fellowship we can praise Him:

Praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, In the assembly of the upright and in the
congregation. . . . His work is honorable and glorious, And His righteousness endures forever. . .
. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever (Psalm 111:1, 3, 10).

Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression (Psalm 19:12-13).

Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord (Psalm 31:24).

Sea Otter, The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
When evildoers assail me,
uttering slanders against me,
my adversaries and foes,
they shall stumble and fall.
Though a host encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war arise against me,
yet I will be confident.
Psalm 27:1-3

To call another ignorant is the most often way to say that you yourself are the ignorant one and have no other defense for your beliefs. Very few true Christians have joined your ranks and you fail to mention the many moslems who have come over to Christ. You attack us only because you are afraid of us just as Ishmael was made so fearful by the birth of Isaac. God, in all His wisdom, saw that when Ishmael was born that something must be done. Even though Sarah was old and barren, He made it so that she could bear a son to Abraham so that Ishmael could not inherit the promises of God. From that time on the followers of Islam have hated all Jews and Christians. That is why the followers of Islam are so proud of their leaders like Saddam Hussein and why they applaud when a terrorist bomb kills Christians and Jew and many others who may be of other beliefs. You and those like you do not even care that muslims were also killed in the bombings of the two embassys in Africa. Your men are so weak that they must treat their women worse than dogs. For you to think that such evil minded people will inherit God's earth is really very silly. Nothing you have to say can shake the Faith of any Christians that I know and there are many.
