Z.O: NN and its rivals too are in constant state of evolution. True NN has a new product portfolio. I am sure that the others will have one too.

The important question is Market share and its growth in each of the 3 fields you mention. I do not have any projections . I also appreciate that making an Analysis based on past sales may not be relevant.

However this is the pertinent question any Buyer will want to know.?

ZO, without being heavy duty in this subject I would like
to ask a naive question: Do you ( or anybody else for that matter )
think that it is theoretically ( or even
practically possible ) for NN
to join with an optical switch maker like Juniper for
example and compete directly with the Leaders
as Doug so colorfully put it.
The reason I am saying this is that these optical companies
seem to be coming up like mushrooms overnight all over the place.
I don't believe CSCO has the ability to buy all of them, sort of ,
" to buy out all the competition which is how CSCO grew.
Why can't NN for example join with some really bright talent
and move into the optical router field, at the edge and, eventually the core,
and provide the global solution that everybody is looking like the Holy Grail?

For example CSCO bought Monterey a while ago and we still haven't quite seen
the fruits off. So if everybody is trying to " buy the new invention " why shouldn't
NN take a shot at it too? They certainly have enough engineering talent to take at
least a shot at.

I take this opportunity to apologize ahead for whatever I may have said that
makes no sense which is very possible. :-)

I will read your reply tomorrow.

Got to go now,

TA
