Anyone else watching the upgrades in the energy sectors? Yesterday: Baker Hughes(BHI) by Southwest Secs, Accumulate to Buy Vastar Resources(VRI) by Salomon Smth Brny, Outperform to Buy Pioneer Natural(PXD) by Salomon Smth Brny, Outperform to Buy Noble Affiliates(NBL) by Salomon Smth Brny, Outperform to Buy Burlington Resrc(BR) by Salomon Smth Brny, Outperform to Buy Cooper Cameron(CAM) by Raymond James, Accumulate to Buy BJ Services(BJS) by Raymond James, Accumulate to Buy Schlumberger(SLB) by Raymond James, Accumulate to Buy Energy has found the sweet spot with $25 oil and $2.50 gas. Everyone will want to be invested January 4 for the Y2K non-event backlash. Unfortunately, January 4 will be too late, smart investors will have already staked claims by December 31st or earlier. Considering the early capitulation in the E&P and OS sectors, early birds may already be staking claims. Just a thought to keep in mind.

Thanks for the Data, Ditch. The FLC options were relatively cheap when I bought them... (even cheaper now, of course). Putting $ into tech stocks are doing for me in the last 8 weeks or so what E&P did in the Spring of this year. Then, it seemed to me that you would have to be really stupid to see that $10 oil couldn't last. Now, it isn't $10 oil anymore, but the E&P stocks I took $ out of a couple of months ago are seriously off there highs. Perhaps they will run again in the spring??
