"Microsoft is a good example. There has never been a time in its history when it met the profile of a value investor's target."

The problem for all of us is recognizing a gorilla early, but not too early -- the whole point of the gorilla game is to optimize the tradeoff between risk and reward, and if we leap too early, we may get stuck with a company on the wrong side of the chasm and which never crosses the chasm, or one for which no tornado occurs. The leap of faith we all must take (and the one which is probably the most daunting to us all) is that the highly valued (or "overvalued") stock that we see before us will in fact be propelled far further by the tornado than most people currently predict.
