While i imagine most of us might view the WSJ whisper as positive, those not so close to the action might have a contrary view -- an indication that the deal will not close this year. TBFC has climbed up to a $3 discount, but at $4.50 less than its "done deal" price it still seems like a good deal, since I believe that Telebanc management will recommend the deal for next year and the shareholders will go through.

The real question is where WSJ's "Heard on the Street" really got their info? A plant from CC? Bar-room sweet-talking from KL?

I also note that Jason has got quite handsome stakes in both EGRP and TBFC, although this may just be part of a general stake in anything involving the real Mr. Softee, the Jap one.
