UMMM....this isn't exactly what a fda approval should do to a stock but thena gain it is another approval albeit not what the company wanted. market is reacting appropriately

I would put a 13-2-1 vote for approval well into the "fairly smoothly" category.

Targretn approval = mission accomplished.

Sellers on news is not that uncommon, especially since LGND recently ran up from 8 to 12 on anticipation that Targretin would be approved.
