Well its not too strange. Apparently it is a built in feature. If the download file is too big it will download the file then abort on the install or update. They had it on the FAQ web page. I thought that if you were having some communication problems (slow isp, timeout, whatever) it would give you something to try to test the communications of the PC, without having to deal with network problems.
