Michael, yesterday you posted that Feelies is divided up along gender lines. The disagreement between me (female) and Edwarda (female) demonstrates that you are wrong. I don't see what you are adding to the discussion, in the way of intelligent contributions to the subject matter at hand.

MM, sometimes the right question comes in the wrong wrapping! And alas, that happens a lot on this thread.

Forget, for a moment, the various personal pin-pricks that have been exchanged on the subject of the unfortunate "abstracts."

That does not mean that Blue's basic questions are not legitimate: a) on just what grounds did Edwarda conclude that the articles in question were based on "flawed research", etc.; and b} and if it is because she read them in toto, where and when exactly did she read them?

I say these are legitimate questions not because I am a big fan of such research (I am pretty skeptical about it, on principle). I just feel that when you make a categorical statement condemning a particular research study as flawed, and maintain that the authors lack the proper bona fides, you have to be prepared to back it up when challenged.
