Cha2, I think we take a very similar approach. I also find that I learn a lot more by targeting what I believe are the leading candidates in a few royalty or gorilla games. I certainly focus much more if I own shares.

More often than not, I end up consolidating into agreed upon gorillas or kings that we discuss on this fine thread.

It's not exactly, the basket approach from the field manual, but I've found it exciting, and profitable. I know that others would consider it "diworsification," but I must say that I enjoy the approach and sleep well at night.
