Crimson, The real hit will either be a big fish coming in to swallow them up (more precisely their technology) or a joint venture where they are mass marketed. If they stay on course with the "grass roots" sales organization, by the time they have a large customer base, a dozen other companies will have passed them with better technology.

The market is not patient when it comes to innovation. Look at what is happening to cell phone technology. Cell phones are still in the early stage of product adoption, but already the nature of features has evolved to internet connections. Look how long it took telephones to move from simple voice communication to even - gosh can you imagine - speed dial!

We are in a different age for technology development and adoption. Big companies can afford to keep up with constant upgrades by having a large client base to fund those innovations or a very rich partner. With a very small client base, you eventually spend yourself into a slow and painful death trying to keep up with what the market wants and the competition can offer.

I-Link has either got to get off the dime with customer growth, or watch the tail lights of the competition.
