C-3D Digital's HMN Division Expands Network Through Acquisition
Deal Extends 12-Month Growth of Over 400% for Division
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 1999--Chequemate International Inc. (AMEX:DDD - news), doing business as C-3D Digital Inc., the world's first 3D television network and 3D Internet media company, and the Hotel Movie Network (HMN), C-3D's private television network dedicated to offering new video experiences, announced today the acquisition of the Capital Associates hotel television properties.

''This acquisition strongly positions HMN for future growth,'' stated J. Michael Heil, chairman and chief executive officer of C-3D Digital. ''With over 400% growth in the division already in 1999, these new properties provide an expanded platform for C-3D Digital to launch the future of television to both homes and hotels rooms. This acquisition also comes at an ideal time to provide additional momentum as we go into the Western Cable Show this week.''

The Western Cable Show will be held in the Los Angeles Convention Center from December 15 through 17. The show is designed to bring together cable and television industry companies. C-3D Digital will be showing breakthrough technologies and techniques for both the C-3D Television and 3D.COM divisions of the Company.

HMN was originally purchased by C-3D Digital in December of 1998. Growth in the division has exceeded management's expectation every quarter in both revenue and rooms served. HMN's charter is to offer cutting-edge entertainment and information services through selected private network systems. With final details currently being worked out, HMN will become the world's first in-room network to offer 3D stereoscopic movies. Content for HMN is provided through movie studio agreements and programming produced by C-3D Television.

C-3D Digital is a leading 3D media company that gives broadcasting and entertainment companies the ability to deliver 3D entertainment to any standard television 24 hours a day. As a leading innovator of 3D-entertainment technology, C-3D Digital is the first television network to offer 3D programming exclusively to satellite and cable television subscribers. Additionally, the company operates an Internet subsidiary company, 3D.COM. C-3D Digital maintains offices in the Los Angeles, California; St. George, Utah; and Phoenix, Arizona areas.
