Today, I will sell the @plan.inc (APLN) which has been a dog, and put the money into MRV Communications (MRVC). The company designs, manufactures and sells computer networking products and fiber-optic components for voice, video and data transmission. Nine-month revenues were $214.6 million. Net profits were $183,000. Last week, one of its divisions won "Best of the Show" award at a conference in Australia for its open Linux architecture. So here you have a company that participates in networking, the Internet and Linux -- three hot areas. And best of all, it makes a profit. Happy melt-up.
