I'll bet....Doctor Detroit is Dan Ackroyd, a mild mannered literature professor who gets lured into being the protector of some prostitutes who are being muscled by a crime lord named Mom. He invents the character Doctor Detroit, and ends up marrying the girl who is in the Nanny now (Fran Drescher), after fighting Mom's perfidy.......In real life, he married Donna Dixon, who was also in the film.....
