NW: It is an interesting development. Perhaps it is just haphazard, but I am beginning to suspect it is part of concerted effort. In general, anything that bolsters the sales of services must be good. But I am not entirely clear how the Ericsson type of contracting-out works. Does COMPAQ enter into a contract to provide the machines and the personnel to run and maintain them? In the Ericsson case, we are essentially taking on 400 former Ericsson employees to operate computers for Ericsson!
