Frank,..Re:.The nasty sell of with the Nasdaq was attributed to the reporting of the CPI figures this morning.

The CPI came in better than expected, I believe the sell off in the bond market was attributed to the retail sales number which came in significantly stronger than expected. <g>

March futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average(sm) moved lower this morning after the Commerce Department announced that retail sales had increased by a much larger-than-expected 0.9% in November, with most of the increase stemming from a surge in auto sales. The data gave new life to fears that interest rates may be forced to rise early next year in order to keep inflation in check.
