A guy that really knew the naz market one time told me that companies let slip news releases to the MM's early. This allowed the MM's to 'position' themselves before the release. If they did not play this little game the MM's would hold the stock back while they loaded up before letting it run. I thought I saw and example of this before the news release saying MSFT was going to up it's stake in KOREA. About two hours before the release the MM's dropped the price 2 1/2 point on low volume taking out all the stops.

Anyone ever hear of this?

Could it be one of the reasons that CRYS was held back yesterday?
