printing money is never the answer... when al printed in 1987 after the crash it was a surprise so it worked.... again in 1998 he surpised by prinitng before so it worked... he's out of tricks.. the mkt knows his number now, it won't work again because first the mkt priced in the fact that Al would print money after a crash so they took it higher... after 1998 they factored in the mkt never falling because al would print before it fell.... so now its all priced in and we'll still get a debacle no matter what he does.... doing the most long term irresponsible thing for a banker to do (print money) only works when it is a surprise... future fed chiefs will see gold and silver go nuts everytime they try that trick and the US will receive higher int rates over th elong haul as investors price in a "propensity to print"
