Do you think the code might test the processor ID and only use prefetch if it's a genuine Intel processor?

Cirruslvr, Elmer failed to mention that all of his SPECint95 benchmarks are run on platforms using RAMBUS memory which costs an extra $500 per 128M.

The performance of the Intel "Memory Translator Hub" on Intel CC820 motherboards, which use SDRAM, is so poor that an Athlon 750 will beat a CuMine 800 on SPECint.
