>>What is the turn? and why?<<

Sure... I don't know what the fundamental reasons might be, but apparently the bond market is serious about moving lower on the periodic numbers being released by the U.S. Commerce Department and other agencies that announce the figures that influence investor decisions about the equities.... there hasn't been any real evidence to support the inflation argument, yet the bonds continue to weaken as if it detects something around the corner that is not clear concerning inflation... this negative bond market is very likely going to effect the equities in an unfriendly way..... I don't want to say the bull market is dead, but the way it appears at the moment, it looks like the bull may be going into a coma if we continue to sell off at this point..... the advance decline line has been pathetic and is beginning to deteriorate further... the only argument in favor of the a/d line is that at some point is has to become oversold.... the negative argument is that when all the troops retreat, the generals will also soon enough..... this may be what's happening..... now, if stocks reflect the conditions of those companies, then those companies may be in for a serious turn around... this has already happened with numerous companies already... for example, take a look at J. C. Penny (JCP) that company looks like it may even go belly up when you take one hard look at that chart..... thank God I don't hold stock in that.....<g>

Short of writing a thesis on the topic, these are some of the reasons I made that comment yesterday... heck, it's only my two cents worth.....BWDIK
