Victor, I didn't snort. I have never set a stop-liss at 8%. Ever. It's tight stop-losses that cause days like today.

An 8% stop-loss is too tight for a high-beta stock.

Victor-

An 8% loss is a widely-recognized point at which to stop your losses, sell, and move on.

Why does it matter whether one is down 8% or 25% if the company is one you believe is undervalued to begin with? There are people who bought YHOO early on, only to watch it drop by 40%, and they're now up x hundred %. What am I missing?
