Your lack of understanding of how the nominal NT P/E of 555 came about is clearly a sign that while you may be a doctor, it's certainly not Dr. of Finance!

NT's P/E is actually lot lower -- say around 50 or something the last time I looked. Besides, don't believe in accounting stmts -- they can be VERY misleading.

Yesterday's Nightly Business Report featured Joseph Battipaglia of Gruntal. Battipaglia has one of the best records extant. Joe refuted the idea that Cisco was part of any "nifty 50 type technology stocks" that would eventually collapse. Joe made a point of stating that you're getting Cisco at very reasonable value given its position and that each company must be looked at individually. Obviously Joe thinks Cisco will continue to be one of the big winners in the tech area since he went on to recommend buying The Kid.

Looking at companies individually, Joe even went on to list old LU, among others, as a buy, but pointedly not old Nortel. Joe will be on "Market Coverage" on CNN/FN at 10:10 am today.
