Jim -
For a guy who supposedly has DELL stock in his portfolio you act like a CPQ partisan.
If you don't like the message, attack the messenger - good plan.

Where in my post do I refer to CPQ? Why do you think this discussion is a CPQ vs. DELL discussion?? Seems like YOU are the one who is attempting a spin on the discussion, by trying to make it a partisan CPQ / DELL issue when there is nothing in the discussion which includes CPQ??

Do you just make it up as you go? The way you go on about DELL one would be led to conclude that you are a paid theadster.
YOU are the one who is coming off like a guy with an agenda... or maybe just have your head in the sand. What possible reason can you have for suggesting that someone pays me to post my opinions (I only wish!!!).

You had no respect for DELL last year when it beat the socks off CPQ and you have no respect this year as it marches past CPQ to become number 1 in this business.
Its hard to believe that you own any DELL stock. <g>

I have a great deal of respect for DELL as a business and for their management team, but I am questioning whether it should be such a large part of my portfolio going forward, based on its performance this year.

You talk about their market share gains and so on - I am looking at the performance of my investment, which is not up 50% or 40% or any number like that, but is in fact only a few points ahead of my money market account... I could care less about DELL financials if they are not reflected in the stock performance. Are you an investor? Do you want to talk about the points I have raised in a sensible way? Do you think other investors are concerned about these issues and would like to see a full and open discussion?

BTW - good play on your SUNW short...

Jim Kelley, from your posts, one would think you are long dell stock-and trying to say positive things about dell and its stock while you hold it. Call me Sherlock Holmes, if you want-although there are probably others on this board who were astute enough to guess the same. In this tight labor market, you probably could find something to do for which you would be compensated rather than spend so much time on this board. Perhaps, you are trying to convince wbm and kemble to buy dell or hold onto their shares.
