HSAC is way oversold here. It is likely to move on this alliance with Charter:
Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHTR -
news), and High Speed Access Corp. (HSAC) (Nasdaq:HSAC - news) will collaborate on testing IP telephony,
the two companies announced today at a press briefing during the Western Cable Show.

Charter and HSAC will be operating ongoing DOCSIS cable modem local phone access tests including IP
gateways in its first test market in Georgia, with more markets to follow. HSAC will use multiple equipment vendors
and perform parallel IP telephony tests to trial the various standard bodies and interoperability issues facing
primary-line local access services. During the trials, HSAC and Charter will test telephony-enabled cable modems
and add Internet access and telephony services to a select number of homes in Georgia.

``Working with HSAC on VOIP is a natural extension of our relationship,' said Steve Schumm, Executive Vice
President of Charter Communications, Inc. ``HSA is already bringing high-speed Internet services to thousands of
our customers, and we look forward to working together and delivering bundled products and services to Charter
customers.'

``Both HSAC and Charter are committed to quickly bringing new, competitive broadband products to customers
across the country,' said Dan O'Brien, President and COO of HSA. ``HSA is thrilled to partner with Charter
once again on yet another new and exciting product.'

Charter and HSAC expect to work together to begin offering new voice services over two-way cable plants in the
second half of next year.

Stephen: Just read your post and understood every fourth word but not a single concept. You clearly know your stuff here. Questions; is this stuff gonna make these companies money? Who? When? Or is this a multi-year big-revenue growth, no-profits situation like so many of the "internets?" And, for those companies that are gonna "make it" who's gonna suffer competitively? I envy you smart types who can understand this stuff. You gotta be 10 years old or younger. (Lee)
