T.J. developed a name for himself here on SI as a trading guru. A year and a half ago he left SI for his own private site. It's been reported that his site has close to a thousand members. They are solely day traders, and when he announces a stock for them to become involved with, such as he did with CIRC a week or so ago, they pile in like lemmings and sometimes disrupt the market. By the same token, once they've had their fill, they move on. Recently he has been recommending about half a dozen stocks at a time, with a fondnes for little companies with limited floats and high short positions. He and his followers didn't affect CIRC's market much--maybe about 10% at most. At the same time he was promoting them, he was also promoting SSPE. They drove the price from about 11 to 20 little more than a week ago. You'll see on SSPE's price chart the spike. I regularly look at his site to see what he's recommending to get short sale ideas. They often won't keep a position for more than a couple days if not a couple hours; although this isn't always true. I recommend that you visit his website (http://www.tokyojoe.com) and educate yourself about the man, now that you two have crossed paths.
