I agree with this and I think that this is what will shape web content as these smaller devices continue to evolve. Maurice is correct also though, in that shortly every notebook sold will allow wireless web access and given the generous allowances for screen size will likely display traditional web pages with full graphics if download speeds increase. But for the evolving phone/PDA/beeper/music device/digital blender/etc. a traditional web page is overkill. If I am walking down the street and I want to add different music to my portable music device then all I want to do is access my personal music database through the web and download the compressed files through the wireless network to my device. And that device might cost $40-$50US instead of the $1500-$2000 a bulky notebook will cost.

Anyway, I am prepared to eat those words along with Maurice <G>. I've already got a mouthful of dollars!

EDIT: Here's a thought: if web content is going to fractionate into specialized channels based on device then how does this effect the content providers (stock quotes, music files, sports scores)? Will this increase their margins? Will an increase flow to the service providers or he content providers? Thus far I have concentrated my investments in the infrastructure and device manufacturers.
