>Slower net sales

does it mean AMZN is only worth $4999 instead of $5000 ?

Cisco news is boilerplate from a filing. From the CSCO thread:

Message 12290769

May be a good buying op if anyone wants to own CSCO.

P. re Cisco slowing sales growth, David Faber and Joe Kernen of CNBC (the ones with the brains) repeated several times that this is boilerplate out of Cisco. Went on to say that they, like Microsoft are always doing this, in their 10Qs and 10K's, several times a year. They manage their growth expectations. Both companies then go on to knock your socks off at earnings time. Kernen thought it was "strange" that Reuters happened to pick that one line out of Cisco's 10Q for their headline stream. Buy ratings to follow, IMO.

Dear philipah: Its amazing the lenghths they will go to drop a market. the CSCO BOMB is their NORMAL disclosure under RISKS that sales may slow down. That is not a specific comment but one of many risks of owning any company. This is beginning to border on criminality in my feeble mind. JDN

Philip - Re: "CNBC just flashed a CSCO bomb"

It was a panic move by some lamo analyst who finally read one of CISCO's 10Q filings.

CISCO - much to their credit - has already REFUTED that comment - of course, it took them 2 hours to wake up and get into the office to do so.

Hats off to CISCO MANAGEMENT - for standing up for your shareholders !
