Shipping to a Different Address

Glen,

I think the problem is when I want something shipped to a different address.

E-Tailers are going to be like other retailers....doing most of their business during the Christmas gift season.

I did two transactions over the net this year......both with Omaha Steaks. They were gifts...sent to my brother and sister.....and the last thing I would want is to have those gifts sent to me....and for me needing to reship. Heck, they were steaks.

I would not have ordered the steaks...if I could not have sent them to a different address.

In my case......Omaha Steaks is OK......but I really had no contact with them......and the only checking they did beyond billing my CC...was to send me an E-Mail saying they were being shipped.

Bottom line....I think E-Tailers must ship to a different address.....or else they loose most of their holiday business.

I don't know how AMZN handles this.......perhaps Visa and MC are willing to eat the bad deals....because AMZN is so big of a customer. If they don't, and AMZN must eat the bad deals.....then it will be interesting to see the effect.

I think this may end up being a huge problem for E-Tailers....and may be a huge problem right now. Lots of stuff people don't get to know about right now.....but will as time goes by. I think that's why I'm curious to see if net stocks can maintain the nosebleed valuations.
