NT & QTERA:

Reported earlier, but from Briefing this AM

08:32 ET Nortel Networks (NT) 88 1/16: Company acquires start-up Qtera for up to $3.25 bln in stock (Qtera must meet performance objectives). Qtera produces ultra-long-reach optical networking systems; competing with privately held Corvis and with Ciena (CIEN). The NY Times reported that a deal was in the works back on December 9.

Best wishes,
Jim

Larry,

Personally, I appreciate a forum where people can express their
opininions both "positive" and "negative" on NN (or any other stock).

I would guess that the majority of people on this thread are
on the LONG side, and would love to see NN at $50.

If I actually thought that just blowing sunshine up everyone's
butt would push NN there I'd be first in line.

LARRY, CRISCO is TANKING this AM! Their QFiling states " they may not meet growth rates ".

You can sell NN this AM LARRY and buy CRISCO cheap :
already down to $92 this AM in pre-market activity from high 101.
Started falling in Europe overnight.

How the mighty have fallen!!

Of course if Juniper and Sycamore continue to eat CRISCO's
meals you could see CRISCO at 60.
At $60/share, the best investment for CRISCO would be to buy
one share of NN.
So there you are LARRY: play it this way: Buy CRISCO cheap today.Wait till it falls to 60
for slowing growth and then you can buy back the NN share you sold this morning.
The advantage of moving to CRISCO from NN is that you could more freely bash NN s
since you would have all the CRISCO - CLONES supporting you,

cheers

TA

PS Another potential reason for CRISCO falling would be a yet to be announced purchase of NN. :-)
