Aprisma Joins Cisco's Management Connection Program
Results in SPECTRUM Integration With CiscoWorks2000 for Systems and Network Management
DURHAM, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 1999--Aprisma Management Technologies, the leader in scalable, multivendor network and service-level management, today announced that it has become a member of the Cisco Management Connection program. The relationship will result in comprehensive integration between CiscoWorks2000 and Aprisma's flagship SPECTRUM software suite.

''We are pleased to welcome Aprisma into the Cisco Management Connection program,'' said Jim Turner, director of marketing, Cisco Systems Enterprise Management Business Unit. ''The integration of SPECTRUM and CiscoWorks2000 via Internet-based technologies and standards will provide our joint customers a flexible solution for building their high-performance, securely managed intranets.''

Under the Cisco Management Connection program, SPECTRUM will assure reliable operation of Cisco-based, business-critical networks through its advanced fault isolation, configuration management and root-cause analysis capabilities. The full-featured integration enables customers to continue using the software tools they are most familiar with while leveraging the specific strengths of both CiscoWorks2000 and SPECTRUM.

''Aprisma's participation in Cisco's Management Connection program is a tangible, strategic illustration of our independent direction and multivendor focus,'' said Michael Skubisz, president of Aprisma. ''Cisco and Aprisma share the belief that managing IT services from the ground up is key to the successful delivery of quality communications required for the global information economy.''

In the first phase, available today, SPECTRUM web-based applications can be launched from the CiscoWorks2000 user interface through a certified Cisco Management Connection. This mechanism enables CiscoWorks2000 and SPECTRUM running on separate computing systems to integrate via Internet-based technologies. In the next phase, the SPECTRUM user interface will offer customers in-depth CiscoWorks2000 views, enabling immediate access to new web-based Cisco management applications without waiting for new SPECTRUM software updates.
