Dear JDN: It makes no sense to me, either. The only thing I can think is that people are so fixated on ORCL this morning that the gong has not gone off in their heads and screamed, "SUNW is ORCL's steady-Eddie." We have had a lot of action in SUNW lately, partially due to the split. Now, it seems, SUNW is taking a breather while the action moves to the latest hot news: ORCL's earnings and ORCL's comments about its rosy future (combined with all the upgrades this morning).

If SUNW stagnates or goes down for a while, fine. Those of us who are long-termers can just sit back for a while. People who want to add to their position or have been waiting to establish an initial position will finally have an opportunity.

Regards,

Lynn

JDN -
Well, I at least regarded it as a buying opportunity when Jan 77.5 calls went to 5 - bought 100 contracts. This is obviously a short term bet on a quick pop back up sometime in the next 4 weeks...

For a long term position, I'm trying for 100 Jan '01 80 LEAPS at around 16 - we'll see if I get those.
