Elsacom web site has been updated elsacom.com Opening page now has picture of Santa Clauss using G* phone (great). More interestingly, a G* service manual is available in the "download" area. It's in Italian, but the look and feel of it may be interesting to all. On page 17 is yet another "coverage map" showing in two colors regions to be covered by the Q1 2000 and by y/e 2000. The former regions are basically what G* USA calls "commercial service launch" regions plus considerably more of Russia than GUSA claims. The y/e 2000 coverage is about equivalent to GUSA 2001 coverage--it shows nearly all of SE Asia and India covered, plus the Middle East, NW and E Africa and all of S. America. Annoyingly, Elsacom still has not provided local SP info for most of the countries they're supposed to be offering service in.
