I guess options expiration can be linked with opera. It isn't over until the fat lady sings. Right now the December 90 options, for me to buy back would still yield me a profit for the month. Watching AOL trading, there appears to be some kabalistic force that tends to bring AOL within a certain trading range (usually right below maximum open interest) right by options expiration. So technically, I haven't lost yet. In a worst-case scenario where AOL goes above 90 (agony/ecstasy), I will probably elected to buy back my calls and roll them into the January 105's. One thing I did notice is that the spread difference tends to work in my favor the longer I wait right up to options expiration date.

This is still one hell of a way to test out my theory.
