Look way back up under your desk - hiding back in the corner. :)

Some things are intuitive and don't require step by step. You didn't play enough this weekend. Learn to right click.

Anything you put in a workspace can be saved, you should name your workspaces and use "save as" to do so. That way you have the 10's of samples they provide. If you make a change to a workspace save it. On charts, set one up as you always want to see it, then save it as default.

lets just take your indices. open a new quotesheet, right click, symbols/import symbols, choose US market watch.sym, now you have the basics. eliminate or add fields or columns. Now right click it and format/autosize/both. How simple can it get?

Stop and think why did you lose them? reading help won't hurt.

Dotty,

Richard is on the right track. You have to right click everything. When I started two months back, I lost every workspace because I would click "X" in upper right corner to close the window, the the message box appears and says,
"Do you want to save changes" , and of course I say "yes".

I HAD JUST SAVED A BLANK WORKSPACE

When your new work is completed, do not click upper rt corner 'x'. By doing so you have just erased your work. First go to file-workspace-save as... then name it... and it is saved.

THEN, on menu line, click 'window', then 'close all'.
I can then pull up any other workspace and the new one just created is still there.

It is scary until learned, like so much else.
