Ptask:
It is my opinion that the grades were too high for the South Africans' to ignore. I know that Amplatt's took a great deal of time for their preliminary studies of the area, and now Impala is following suit.
I have been trying to research and understand how the South Africans' work, and conduct their exploration, and I will admit, they do things quite differently from Canadians, and are secretive.
They are also very cheap and would not spend money on exploration unless they knew the area had merit. Sure liked the idea of them dropping 1 million bucks in Pfn's lap, and they want the exploration to continue.
Then Pfn announces their intentions and now Impala with Mustang... this tells me a great deal of what we can expect for the year 2000.
I do believe this could be world class, as our preliminary results of the area have proven so far, but much more work to go, but all has been positive. We also can't forget that junior Aqi-v, has also announced that field work is being conducted and drilling to commence in the spring of next year, they optioned mining claims from Mmin also in the River Valley.
At this stage and the recent developments identifying the potential of the area, I do expect this to become and be recognized as an area play. Thanks for a great post and the recognition of this play Ptask.
It is my opinion, the South Africans' would have been long gone, if this was just a whim. Now let's hope an area play map will be forthcoming.

Regards
G
