Mike, sorry, but i don't believe for a second any of us can really tell which inning we are in. all i know is that things usually look best just before the top. as to whether we will ultimately end up with a deflationary collapse, there are certainly powerful arguments supporting this notion. however, a government as highly indebted as the U.S. (the national debt grows by 260 million dollars a day), i reckon it will try to print it's way out of such a scenario with a vengeance, dollar and inflation be damned. well, we'll surely find out within our lifetimes, imo sooner rather than later. regards, hb
