Bux, As I said in an ealier post, it is a company's choice to market themselves as a leader in a market if they have a lead in a particular product category...and to claim leadership in the larger market. It is a company's choice and yet if they choose to do so I think it is misleading. When one looks at the leaders of CDMA infrastruture COMS is not on that map...and that is the point. I think it's more than a semantic issue. A good example is Intel. Intel doesn't claim to be a leader in the PC market - even though they manufacture nearly every DELL and CPQ PC on the planet. That's an extreme case. But as a "component supplier" to one part of the infrastructure to claim leadership is misleading. COMS does this same thing with cable... even though they are barley on the list for Cable infrastructure deployments they claim to be a leader simply because they sell the most DOCSIS compliant modems.... their revenues pale in comparison to MOT, Samsung, and CSCO in the space but they still claim leadership. They're doing the same in DSL... and they don't even market a DSLAM. So, yes, I'm sorry I do find this misleading and I do think it's important to point out the distinctions. That being said it shouldn't be read to mean that COMS can not grow thier business in these markets - i only mean to demonstrate that the claim of leadership in a broader market becauase one is a leader in one part of the market is misleading. COMS is THE market leader in IWF for CDMA wireless. That's a good thing... but that's it. OG
