I think you are giving Clinton too much credit. I doubt he knows much more than conventional wisdom about the role the Fed plays in fomenting the bubble. Clinton will pressure AG to keep interest rates low, but I don't think coupon passes and non-bank money supply are even on Bill's radar screen.

The threat to the dollar will force AG to restrict money growth after the Y2K threat subsides. JMHO, BSG

Isn't there going to a big rush of stocks to merge next year before the pooling of interest method is discontinued?
