ORCL, MU

Yep, I posted that I lost from the stock but I had bought 10 calls in ORCL before and they were up a few points and were even what I paid for them yesterday so I held. I always like to keep some position in an option through an earnings call on very special stocks like INTU, ORCL, MACR and stocks like that. The options were worth a try so I held on and was glad to make up the stop in the stock. You are risking perhaps a portion of 5 or 6k but getting out of the bigger 80k position.

Of course I still lost the entire 9 1/2 gain in orcl the stock today but I look at the cup as half full and not half empty. My track record on ORCL from last quarter was not good so I decided to try again. I usually never miss a season in ORCL for the past 5 seasons. I planned to make the small fortune in ORCL that I did in INTU but yesterday botched part of the plan. INTU I cashed in 1 setof of options and bought another set and the stock. That's my favorite strategy for 'stocks with past good records on earnings season'.

MU, I feel will blow away street numbers but I won't be hold the stock through earnings, because everyone and their brother also believe that same thing. I might pick up some option position before the actual report close to the 22nd and sell the stock.. Then I would pick up some ISSI and LSI which would benefit from the MU report. That's the way I would play MU.
