Daniel, I didn't respond when you posted that link about Alcibiades and Socrates, because I wasn't sure what to make of it. My recollection is that at some point, Alcibiades and Socrates were lovers, so what I interpret Alcibiades as saying is that they were not lovers on the occasion he mentions. I can't comment on what other people think of homosexuality, but I think that some people are just born homosexual, and that they need love, like anyone else. This includes the desire for sexual love. If a man or woman prefers sex with people of the same gender, it really doesn't offend me in any way, and I don't think ill of them for it.
