Dear Doc: Welcome back!! You will be amply rewarded IMHO of course. Personally, I am still hoping for a short quick correction before it REALLY takes off and have my orders placed. Thought I might get a fill this morning with all the BS going on but alas not to be. Well, still have my intitial amount but I think I would like to go into this one in a big way if I can have it my way. JDN

DocStone,
i knew you would come to your senses. i think the IRS with also be happy will your recent trades.<g>

Anyway, i have been thinking about your “$500 million here...” comment and noticed this in the middle of a recent Press Release:
globalcrossing.com
Additional networks for Scandinavia, Spain, Italy and Central Europe are being considered. By 2001, PEC should represent a total and fully funded network of $1.3 billion linking 32 cities in 11 countries.

My thought was that since the already announced parts of PEC are "fully funded," some of the proceeds from the recent Preferred might be for securing licenses and rights of way for the "additional networks" mentioned in the PR (not previously announced and only hinted at in previous CC's) .

Then again, who knows what the company is going to do next?
