Turner Studios Adopts VNCI Video Network

Technology Offers State-Of-The-Art Video Distribution
Capabilities

PORTSMOUTH, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 1999--Video Network Communications, Inc. (VNCI) today announced that Turner Studios, the in-house production services division of the Turner Entertainment Networks, has chosen VNCI's technology to provide distribution of video for their Atlanta headquarters. The system enables staff at twenty-three desktop stations throughout Turner Broadcasting's
entertainment networks to simultaneously collaborate in real-time from their various locations, while viewing and editing video content from a wide variety of sources, including live broadcasts and stored video on demand.

''The broadcast industry demands distribution of high quality, real-time video, something that IP alternatives could not give us,'' said Dan Darling, Senior Vice President of Turner Studios. ''VNCI's technology dramatically streamlines the collaboration process between executives, producers and clients. Editing changes that in the past would have taken many meetings, coordinated among several locations, can now take just one. The video communications feature of the VNCI system also preserves the sense of personal contact.''

With VNCI, Turner Studios has created a distinct competitive advantage in delivering video to the cable networks creative staff faster and more efficiently. The VNCI video distribution system networks internally over existing phone lines, eliminating any additional wiring requirements. VNCI systems can be up and fully operational in one day.

''Turner Studios' adoption of VNCI's video distribution system demonstrates the power of our technology to streamline the process of video production,'' said Carl Muscari, President of VNCI. ''We're looking forward to becoming an indispensable tool for video production and distribution in many industries including entertainment, advertising, training and education.''

Vegas: Nice link on MFNX. I think MFNX and GBLX, both of which I recommended on this board at $22-25, have room to run.
