i doubt that such an action would meet with success...although you never know. if it could be proven in court that their actions amount to blatant stock market manipulation...to the detriment of not only the bears but the economy as a whole, it might have an outside chance. however, how do you PROVE the causality? we know about it, because we see the ramps occasioned by repo and coupon pass announcements. but it will be extremely difficult to prove causality beyond reasonable doubt. it will be much easier to have them drawn and quartered AFTER a collapse of the stock market, by which time the bears can't complain about having been cheated out of their just rewards. the two or three bears left standing that is.
