rande- i didnt feel we hit out top last week, but after i got about a 130k haircut the last hour yesterday, resulting in a 27k margin call today, the little bit of trading profit i made friday/monday, does not offset the slight panic attack i got late yesterday afternoon, so while your market call may not be "technically correct", it was fundamentally sound, and i wish i had gone more to cash last thursday, now, do we ride this sideways to down movement out for the rest of the month holding on for the big january push or do we still sell into strenght? your advice is appreciated

Rande, you called it right, within a smidge or two, but hey, you're human! You could sense that the market was done, spent, and needed a break. Almost anyone could see that. I battened down the hatches last Thursday and headed out to do my Christmas shopping. This slight correction is giving me a chance to be away from the computer and enjoying my life! I wanted to thank you for all the suburb analysis and conversations you have shepherded this past year. I have only been around the thread since the summer but have benefited greatly from the expertise present here. It has been a real education. Thanks for giving beyond what you were probably capable of...I know this fall has been very challenging for you and I hope that next year brings you overwhelming joy for you and yours. This time, even I had doubts about my own call. . . .that is one mistake that will never happen again. Rande, Just wanted to tell you a big thank you for all of your efforts and the hard work you do here at the Home thread. I love to hear you "call 'em as you see 'em". That's the kind of straight-shooting commentary that we all need and look forward to reading. Anyone that trades or acts solely on the statements made by others is already in trouble. Your comments and analysis are greatly appreciated for thought provoking and insightful consideration. And I for one truly appreciate reading your posts.
