Jim, please take a look at: (a) when each co has been 1st mentioned and, in almost every instance, they have been mentioned prior to today
(b) there was news on each of the co's mentioned at the beginning of the day - most of us see the news
(c) as you specifically mention DMRK, pls look at the DMRK thread to see the time frame of my interest in DMRK
(d) i'm surprised you make no reference to IMCL a few days ago when it rose $2 to $3 that day - today it had a news item (as did ASDX, ACOM, etc)
(e) i'm equally surprised you do not mention my repeated mentions of MAKR last Friday as blocks were being traded - gee MAKR went up a lot on Monday and continued on Tues
(f) IFCI -- today closed higher than yesterday - by my count that was at $8 when mentioned
(g) GIGX -- flashed quickly -- I try to post on T-mex, T-Luke, Stock-watcher, Jenna, James Strauss, and Kimberly (since yesterday) threads -- it takes some time to make those postings and my isp connection is sporadic, sometimes S.I. is difficult to get into, etc
(h) FVCX -- "originally pumped at $16" (your words) --> chk it out for yourself, I've been mentioning it way before that price level
(i) EXAR - a heads up - i bet the institutions take it higher - 52 wk break-out -- take a look back at how MCRL did it ...and NOKIA, which was a great institutional-player co back in 1998
(j) GBIX -- again, look to the msg board on GBIX
Am I solely invested in 1,2,or 3 co's? No way. As you comment on the 5 picks and affirm , take a look at these co's in 30 days. Many of them have been considered for more than 30 days already.
But, then you mention rating the picks every day. That begs the question, do you rate everyone else's picks every day, each day being measured on it's own?
As you mention Tim Luke, do you think his picks should be measured every day? I'm sure Tim has been in, CS for example, for more than a day and he has a gain since initiating his position. Some days a co is up, some days a co is down.
I am surprised you do not mention APNT which went from $15+ to $38 -- heck, I mentioned it only a couple of times
I am surprised you didn't mention RRRR when called in the $8-9 area.
I am surprised there is no mention of VONE, another #1 gainer of the day a few weeks back, when , at about 4 3/4 to $5 area , mentioned it could go to $9-10 that day - it touched 16 or 17, but traded well above the expectation.
It is late, and tired, but you threw it to me - I have 2 choices: (1) say/do nothing (2) state the situation, and ask what standard you want set. In one case, you want to subject it to a period of one day, in another (i guess based on my 30 days) 30 days.
I'm happy to state something as: momo, position, long-term, or if someone can clarify other types, be glad to hear of it.
If you want to generate other discussion, I'm happy to do so. Name the message board/place & time.
I look at about 500-600 stocks (try to do so daily) and make a short list. Then I look at the news the next morning and adjust the short-list. I will gladly show you the reams of paper. When there is news on something, that is of significance, imo, I'm going to mention it. Filing a new drug application in an area a co has not mentioned much is significant, the worlds first implanted digital transceiver with multi-billion $ applications. Take a poll of 100 ppl and get their opinion. If you think these are not of signifcance, let me know. If the day started out as an up day, who knows, maybe they would have been up. Consider their mention as alerts and if you think the ultimate effect of a news article occurs in one day, I have to disagree.
Let me know what you think on all of this. Thank you. |
