Ruff - again, pardon my ignorance, but how does one read the link you refer to to determine a MACD breakout? Is it when the line (MACD on the lower part of the graph) is crossed?

I'm not sure what to make of it.

Thanks again,
Jeff Smith

TA: on doorstep of MACD crossover for QCOM

my trusty charts and indicators say we are a twit away from a strong MACD crossover... this happens when the faster swinging 9day moving average intersects the slower 26day moving average (as best I understand it)

the last time we saw a clear MACD crossover was Nov2nd, preceding the run to 400

another good day and we cross with certainty
we need some above average volume for once

I admit I dont know much about Technical Analysis
the MACD caught my attention in the supermarket checkout line

bidding over 426
whaddaya think? a fake prior to pulling back?
or a real breakout?
I think it will be easy as pie to see 435 quickly, testing highs
