someone calculated that there would be 1 CMGI share for each 42.5 CPQ shares... that would be an OK dividend in my book.

Dear Eric: I am all for a distribution of CMGI shares to CPQ shareholders. T shareholders got shares of LU, Ralston Purina shareholders seems to get distributions of something or other almost every other year.

>I am sure shareholders could elect to have their CMGI shares converted to cash if
the actual share amount was too small.

The way it usually works is that shareholders with less than 100 shares get a letter offering a buy-back of the shares after they are distributed.

Distributing half the CMGI shares should lay to rest all grumbling about selling Alta Vista to GMGI and be a real statement that CPQ truly is interested in, "Increasing shareholder value.". Personally, I would much rather have shares of CMGI--then have the opportunity to get AV when its IPOed.

Crossing my fingers-

Lynn
